Our Story

Vivari was founded with a passion for exceptionally-crafted products and an unrelenting commitment to challenge conventions in the retail industry.  For generations, luxury goods have been made with leather: a material made from the skin of animals and used by brands for its durability and symbol of quality.

We started Vivari to offer a compelling alternative.

We believed that high-quality accessories could be created using premium fabrics that replicate the key qualities of leather but are also animal-friendly and sustainable.

In 2015, we embarked on a yearlong effort to scour the world for the best materials and artisans out there.  We convinced those artisans, who for generations worked exclusively with leather, to experiment with our materials.  The result is a collection of accessories designed with a modern spirit and edge. Each Vivari piece is handcrafted in Florence, Italy by highly-skilled craftsmen who have produced accessories for high-end brands like Giorgio Armani, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain and Ermenegildo Zegna.
